Description

Details- Let Entrada's Vista 24" Smokeless Fire Pit add a touch of modern industrial to your outdoor living space. Designed from the ground up to deliver the most efficient smokeless fire imagined, big enough to heat and warm anywhere from 2-8 guests or family members. We start with heavy gauge American-produced steel, each pit is then hand-crafted, formed, welded, and hand-rubbed with our "Good ol' Fashioned Metal Rub" to provide a safe and natural finish. This will help to protect the raw steel from moisture and is designed to delay the natural rusting process.

Smokeless Technology- Our 360 Inferno Airflow™ technology is designed to provide intense fresh air flow to feed your wood-burning fire, while our double-wall construction and strategically placed inner holes below the rim work to help force superheated oxygen to the flames and initiate secondary combustion, which is called reburn. Reburn re-ignites the smoke inside the fire, which is then burned off before it is able to escape the pit. This innovative smokeless technology virtually eliminates smoke when combined with seasoned high-quality firewood, and takes your fire experience to a premium level when you follow our recommended steps!

Available Options- Upgrade your outdoor fire experience even further with our Outrider 24 Fire Pit Grill Attachment, and grill your next meals right over top of the fire! Delight your guests with delicious wood-flavored, flame-kissed juicy, and tender meats that are next-level savory goodness Mmmmm-mmm! Or Grab one of our Fire Pit Heat Shields, Fire Pit Lids, or Fire Pit Ash Shovels today. Our Smokeless Fire Pits and accessories are proudly made right here in Western Colorado.

How Does it Work?

STEP ONE    360 Inferno Airflow™

The 360 Inferno Airflow raised air vent design on the bottom of the fire pit enables oxygen to feed the fire even after significant ash build up.

STEP TWO    Double Wall Technology

Air enters a cavity at the bottom into the double wall, while the fire heats the walls. Hot air rises through the gap between the two walls as the fire burns.

STEP THREE    Secondary Combustion

The hot air then exits the double wall through holes around the inside rim. This pressurized heated oxygen mixes with the smoke and causes secondary combustion or reburn.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Entrada Fire Pits Truly Smokeless?

While we can't guarantee that our fire pits will never produce any smoke, you can be assured that, with the proper steps, an Entrada fire pit will produce significantly less smoke than a conventional wood fire pit. To achieve a smokeless fire, it is very important to take the proper steps when building the fire. The amount of smoke produced depends greatly on the quality and dryness of firewoods used and how well the fire is built. For tips on how to build a smokeless fire, check out our article How to Build a Smokeless Fire.

How do Entrada Smokeless Fire Pits Work?

Entrada Smokeless Fire Pits work through a double-wall secondary combustion design, with the help of our 360 Inferno Airflow™ technology. Once your fire is burning efficiently and some hot embers are generated, the heavy gauge bottom burner plate and inner fire pit barrel will climb in temperature. This increase in temperature causes the air between the two walls to super heat and rise. This pressurized and heated oxygen is released into the fire pit through the line of holes around the inside rim, mixes with any remaining smoke and creates the secondary combustion called reburn and virtually eliminates the pesky smoke we have all grown to hate.

Can you Give me Some Tips for Building a Smokeless Fire?

The key to achieving maximum smoke reduction is a very hot fire spread evenly throughout the fire pit. Moving hot coals toward the outside wall will be helpful as well. This will provide more heat in the double-walled air chamber, which in turn will provide a more aggressive air current up through the air chamber, forcing that secondary combustion which is essential to making a fire smokeless.

Please note that adding bigger logs to your fire can cause the fire to burn cooler, so start by using smaller pieces then slowly adding bigger logs as the fire builds in heat. As for stacking the wood, our best recommendations are as follows: Start by adding fire starter or dry shreds of paper or cardboard. Then, surround the fire starter with small pieces of kindling or dry twigs. Once the smaller pieces of kindling are burning well, carefully add larger, split logs (3-4" in diameter) one at a time. We recommend stacking the wood perpendicularly in a log cabin style. Also be sure that your wood has been dried sufficiently before attempting to burn.

Do your Fire Pits Require Assembly Once Delivered?

All of our Fire Pits come fully assembled and ready to burn in! Some accessories may require minor assembly (bolts, etc.)

Why the Hand-Rubbed Finish?

Our goal is to create a simple and safe finish that is free of toxins and can be easily maintained by our customers. Most alternative fire pits use variations of paint and powder coating that tend to chip and rust over time and degrade when exposed to high temperatures of fire, UV rays, and outdoor weather. These modern finishes can be difficult and expensive to repair, leading to a poor and sometimes disappointing customer experience. You can learn more about the choice of finishes for your fire pit.

How Durable is the Finish?

Every fire pit we build gets hand-rubbed with an FDA Approved polymerized linseed oil blend to provide a safe and natural finish to protect the raw steel from moisture and is designed to delay the natural rusting process. This initial coating of oil combined with the natural "mill scale" of the steel will offer protection from moisture during the shipping process and initial setup. After the first burn in your Entrada fire pit (once cooled down) it will be necessary to apply a light coating of oil to the surfaces to begin the "seasoning" process of the steel. We ship a bottle of this special blend of oil with each and every pit.

Entrada's proprietary finish is very similar to cast iron cookware. The repeated coats of oil and the process of heating the steel will oxidize the oil coating to continue to build layers of protection to form a naturally hydrophobic coating. Simple chemistry shows us that oil and water don't mix and the unique design of our fire pits help it shed water easily and dry quickly.

How do I Clean the Finish on my Fire Pit?

After removing as much Ash as possible after a burn, feel free to use a garden hose to spray inside and out of your pit. We recommend using a mild dish soap and brillo pad or sponge, and it should clean up nicely for you.

How Can I Accelerate the Patina Process?

How Should I Put out the Fire Once I'm Finished?

We always recommend letting the fire burn out on its own, unless there’s an emergency. If there is an emergency or you do not have the time to sit around while your fire is dying out, we recommend using one of our Fire Pit Lids to snuff the fire. Our lids are made from the same 3/16" steel material that the outer ring of the pits are and will never warp from the heat. We do not recommend pouring water on your fire because it will make a mess of the ash and can clog up the air-flow at the bottom of your fire pit. If you do choose to let your fire pit burn until it dies, it’s extra important to never leave your fire unattended. If you do have to walk away, make sure it’s covered by a spark screen or a lid so that the wind can’t lift hot coals or sparks out of the fire pit! You’ll also want to ensure there’s nothing leaning against your fire pit or close enough that it could be damaged or catch on fire.

How Often Should I Clean out my Smokeless Fire Pit?

We recommend cleaning out the ash from the bottom of your fire pit at minimum every 1-2 burns to avoid unecessary ash build-up. Ash build-up can cause the airflow in the bottom of the pit to be blocked, which in turn can cause a fire to smoke more. The best way to remove the ash from your fire pit is to use the Entrada Ash Shovel or a vacuum designed for removing ash. Always allow sufficient time for the ashes to cool before attempting to remove them!

How far Away From a Structure Should the Fire Pit be?

Entrada does not have a set policy on the distance of placing a fire pit from a structure. However, we recommend that all fire pits should be at least 10-20 feet away from any structure or combustible surface. Always refer and adhere to the local regulations in your area and check the weather forecast before lighting a fire. Entrada's fire pits are no more or no less hazardous than traditional fire pits so all regulations for outdoor fires would apply.

Does this Smokeless Fire Pit Radiate Heat Outwards- Not just Upwards?

We aren't joking when we says this fire pit can output PLENTY of heat to the sides not just upward like the cheaper mass produced models made in China!

Can I Place my Fire Pit on Concrete?

Yes, however, we recommend using a protectant (e.g. our heat shields, gravel, or pavers) underneath it to prevent any heat damage to the concrete or its sealant.

Are there Drainage Holes in the Fire Pits?

Yes. These drainage holes are important not only for water drainage but also to increase air flow during combustion to increase smoke reduction.

Is the Fire Pit Lid Waterproof?

While the lid is not entirely waterproof, it does significantly reduce the amount of rain or snow allowed into the fire pit.

Do Your Products Have a Warranty?

Entrada holds a limited lifetime warranty on all Smokeless Fire Pits and Accessories. This warranty covers any workmanship or material defects. However, this warranty does not cover normal wear or misuse. See details on our warranty page.
